The PASTO dining rooms are adorned by the photographs shown below. These images were taken in November/December 2000 in Certaldo, a small village in Tuscany by Flagstaff-based photosgrapher, Sue Bennett.

Cyprus Drinking
Cypress Trees, This classic image of Tuscany shows a farmhouse and it’s cypress lined road standing out against a backdrop of open field and sky.
Drinking Pigeon, The pigeon that trumped the dog, a triumph for this pigeon perched atop the nose of the fountain.
Georgio Guido
Georgio, Hunting on a foggy Tuscan morning. Guido with Cheese, He used a traditional method of baking cheese in their rounds on a large, long board. You can see that the many used boards behind him still bear the mark of the rounds.
Katerina Marcelo
Katerina with Bread, Katerina was baking the most divinely delicious bread using her favorite traditional baking method. Marcello & Miretta, Marcello is the major of the village and Miretta is his wife. Miretta was sweeping in the rain when Sue met her.
Mercede Vito
Mercede, Is known as the keeper of the keys to the church. If you wanted to go in the church you had to find her, and what a character she was. Vito with Lamb, Vito was born in the village and now lives in Canada but returns every year to take care of his parents and harvest the olives for them.
